Vigil for stricter gun laws. SJ Dodgson. MJoTA 2013 v6n1 p0413

We were in the park today, in the open-air theater dedicated to 2 policemen shot dead, calling for federal gun laws restricting bullet magazines, stopping guns moving state-to-state, calling for background checks before gun sales. Lots of us.

Wearing green in memory of kids and teenagers and adults shot dead in our streets, our homes and our schools.

OFA in Camden County: we are pushing to change the laws because we must.

Remembering victims of gun violence in Haddon Heights

Above, Congressman Robert Andrews spoke about the rights of all children to finish kindergarten, as his did, not far from the park. As my 4 children did, about a mile away from the park.

Below, Carol Hagan holds a candle for her house-owning professionally-employed son, who was shot to death in the safest area of Philadelphia, Society Jill, on July 1st, 2012 when he was 32. Good God. I was there the same night. By myself. That area is safe. Like kindergarten in Sandy Hook.

Below that, the audience included Audubon Park elected councilwoman Sandy Hook (that really is her name), who organized the rally with help from OFA. Sandy Hook is wearing blue and is on the far right.

Bottom picture, Dr Susanna, wearing green, signing the flag that said 'we have not forgotten."

Indeed we have not, and we will not, and we will keep fighting to get guns out of harm's way as long as it takes. Amen. Thank you Congressman Andrews for working for us in Washington.
