Biafra was the eastern third of Nigeria that tried to become its own nation on May 30, 1967 because other Nigerians were murdering them, on Jan 15, 1970 the rest of Nigeria stopped murdering them and they became again part of Nigeria.

The father of my father, British Army Lieutenant Hubert Cecil Dodgson. Two months after the end of World War I, on Nov 11, 1918 grandfather married Hannah, the widow of a Scottish portrait painter, Campbell Lindsay Smith, who had been shot dead in his Gordon Highlanders kilt in the Battle of the Somme.

Nine months after Hannah and Hubert married, my father Michael was born. And in 1944, during World War II, was drafted into the British Army to give medical services to soldiers in South East Asia and West Africa.
