Farmworkers. March at Amnesty International Philadelphia. SJ Dodgson MJoTA 2014 v8n1 p0427

In March we learned about the hard life of farm-workers in the mushroom capital of the world - Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Jessica Cullen, organizer from CATA, a group that formed in South Jersey in 1979, told us about how they work to help immigrant workers. She told us they used to be cyclical - most come from Mexico and Spanish-speaking countries, some come from Haiti - but with stepped-up border patrols and deportations - they now are in South Jersey and Pennsylvania communities year round. Most farm-workers are immigrants.
On April 2nd, 2014, without investigation, without intelligence, without thoughts for the human rights of a genius chemist and his wife, who survived the bloody civil war of Liberia, who worked hard all their lives, whose US Army veteran daughter served in Afghanistan, Philadelphia police decided that Vickson Korlewala and his wife had no right to freedom click here
