I am a lieutenant in the Bed Stuy Volllies. My volunteer work is talking about them, soliciting donations, a dollar at a time.
They are the world's first Black volunteer ambulance association.
Their website is http://www.bsvac.org. You can donate through their site. Every dollar is counted, accounted for, and you will be sent a thank you note by the Vice President, Harvward law graduate and Bed Stuy Vollies EMT graduate, Ms Tamsin Wolfe JD.
You can read what Ms Wolfe has to say in MJoTA, click here.
You can see a picture I took in Haiti when I went with the Bed Stuy Vollies in the month after the earthquake. The picture is on the last page of articles written by the first woman US ambassador to Nigerian, African-American diplomat and academic Dr Robin Renee Sanders, click here.
You can see pictures of Bed Stuy Vollies in an article published in MJoTA on drug regulations in Nigeria, click here.
