Glencore is huge, many companies, many countries but their method of operation is simple. They mine metals as cheaply as possible while paying sub-poverty wages, pay nothing back to the country of operations. They sell the metals cheaply to one of their companies, who resell them at an enormous profit.
The founder, Marc Rich, former fugitive from justice before being pardoned by President Clinton, died in 2013. The rest of the world continues to live off the blood and sweat of Africans who have been sold out by their leaders.
