Discussion about Syria

On Monday Sep 9, 2013, in a Blogtalk Radio broadcast, Captain David Yoder, US Army (retired), Mr Lin-Jay Harry-Vogelzon, international freelance journalist, Dr Uchenna Ekwo, president of Manhattan think-tank CMPI and Dr Susanna Dodgson, publisher of MJoTA sites discussed the evidence and agreed that a unilateral US bomb strike on Syria was probably not the best way to help Syrian citizens.

We agreed that since the US is already giving military aid to the Syrian Coalition by advising, this should continue and be increased. And since the US is already giving humanitarian aid to Syria, this should continue and be increased.

Syria has been in a vicious civil war since 2011. I have prepared 6 pages on Syria: in the audio file above, we try to understand what is going on in Syria and we discuss the data and the input we have had from Syrians.

On Sep 10 2013, I had a chat with a young Syrian, Abdullai. He confirmed the statement I was given by young Syrian Christian Simon.

The war is not a religious war, Christians are not being targeted, Shiites are not being targeted. Sunnis are not being targeted.

A revolution was reported by Al Jazeera and BBC when there was not one, so the Jihadists crazies

showed up in Syria and have been shooting and fighting and blowing things up since then.

Simon and Abdullai were both in Syria on Aug 21, and both know that the chemical weapons did not come from President Assad, as President Assad himself said.

What both Simon and Abdullai want is the Assad government and the Syrian Coalition to sit down with international diplomats and not get up until they have agreed on a plan for peace that will drive out the Jihadists crazies.

And today we heard from President Obama. I like the fact that our president does not bomb a country in order to show he is pragmatic. He shows great strength in restraint. Thank you President Obama.
